I agree with Carlo, and I also don't know if this was intentional but
seems to be the status quo. Of course I'm also biased by Debian's
choice for all package names to be lower-case. I've commented on and
closed bug #41691, but of course feel free to discuss changes to pkg
that will allow mixed-case or digits or even Unicode characters if
anyone likes.
