Follow-up Comment #2, patch #9077 (project octave):

I will take a look at this tomorrow. But since imreconstruct handles ND
images, can't your implementation of imfill be able to handle them?

Also, how does this imfill compares in performance to the existing bwfill for
2d binary images? We have some specializations for 2d images in other
functions because they work much faster.
