Hmm.  Well, it would be more consistent, which is a good thing.  
Especially with the new main window UI (in CVS) which shows all 
existing patches in a treeview, I guess there's visual feedback 
whenever a patch gets created, so potential for confusion is not so 
high.

I'll have to give it a try and see if I find it annoying, and of course 
see what thorwil thinks of the idea. :)
