[Om-synth] Om Synth Won't Run

Hi. I have om-synth installed. I can run om-synth, but can't get it
working.

Basically, I run "jackd -d alsa". Then "lashd", then "om" then "om_gtk".
This brings up a gtk gui. I then click on "File">"Open Patch" and
navigate to /usr/local/share/om/patches. I load "sine.om". The messages
I get seem to indicate that the loading has been successful, e.g. it
doesn't complain about missing plugins. But then nothing happens. The
wiki suggests that I should see a subwindow with the architecture of the
"sine.om" synth in the om_gtk window, but I see nothing. Nor do I see
the name of the patch appear in the (I presume) list widget on the left
hand side. The right hand side panel is unchanged, and just says "No
patch loaded".

I'll include here the text output I get from my terminal window.

Any hints as to what might be wrong or what to try next? I can post a
screenshot of the gui if need be.
