I am trying to get a 1.0.5-pre1 debian package for upload.

After having problems with automake (I had to change AM_CFLAGS and AM_CXXFLAGS
with CFLAGS and CXXFLAGS) and set the include to automake-1.6 include dir, I
get the package to start compiling, but:

In file included from ImfHeader.cpp:45:
ImfVersion.h:50: syntax error before string constant
ImfHeader.cpp: In member function `void Imf::Header::writeTo(std::ostream&)
   const':
ImfHeader.cpp:664: invalid conversion from `const char*' to `int'
ImfHeader.cpp:664:   initializing argument 2 of `virtual void
   Imf::Attribute::writeValueTo(std::ostream&, int) const'
ImfHeader.cpp: In member function `void Imf::Header::readFrom(std::istream&,
   int&)':
ImfHeader.cpp:695: ISO C++ forbids comparison between pointer and integer
make[2]: *** [ImfHeader.lo] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/tmp/openexr/openexr-1.0.5-pre1/IlmImf'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/tmp/openexr/openexr-1.0.5-pre1'
make: *** [build-stamp] Error 2
debuild: fatal error at line 456:
dpkg-buildpackage failed!

The line
ImfHeader.cpp:695: ISO C++ forbids comparison between pointer and integer
seems quite enlightening...
