Hi Richard,

If you don't have the Intel compiler, you won't be able to build OpenEXR
(not from the official sources, at least).  Wait for the updated prebuilt
libraries, which I'll post soon.  Then use the prebuilt IlmImfDll.dll in
your app with the ImfCRgbaFile interface and you should be good to go.

The dll in the current prebuilt package has some issues that Andreas has 
fixed.
