Thanks for spotting that.  I'm able to reproduce it.  I didn't notice it
when building the releases because the binaries included with OpenEXR are
linked against those non-so names, so they work just fine.

Something broke in the autoconf support between 1.1.1 and 1.2.0.  I'll fix 
it ASAP.
