In recent weeks i am seeing more and more spam 
flooding trough the OpenEXR mailing lists.

Can you please stop that? Thank you.

I would strongly suggest you to set the mailing
list attributes to "subscribers only" which means
that you have to inspect the list's filter every few
days so that unsubscribed but related posts will
get trough whilst you will just discard the spam.
