Hi Adrian,

I assume you are talking about the Desk.exr sample image.
In order to get a feeling for the amount of detail in parts
the image that look white at normal exposure, you may want
to download the exrdisplay program; it is part of the
OpenEXR source code package.  For reference, see the
attached JPEG images.  They are screen grabs of exrdisplay
showing the downloaded Desk.exr file at normal exposure
and with an exposure setting of -5.8 f-stops.
I don't know anything about Speedgrade, so I can't really
help you with that.  You may want to contact IRIDAS.
