This is very good. I could run a small FOSSology instance myself but having the
FSF handle it is better, IMO. Can you please let me know when/if it becomes 
ready?

This is something that's concerned me as well and linking to the actual
extension is probably better. The official listing sometimes contains useful
information like bug reporting links, etc. which would then be missed. The
descriptions in the free listing could be updated to include extra information
though.
