Actually I bit the bullet and putty'd in to my shell account. Here is what happens, I'm following Charles' directions on the rebelbase web page. $ export CVSROOT=":pserver:address@hidden:/cvs/gnome" $ cvs login Logging in to :pserver:address@hidden:2401/cvs/gnome CVS password: $ It just drops back to the unix prompt and doesn't do anything.
