What I'm saying, tho (in the second part about the compose window, which
was snipped here), is that if you toggle off wrapping, close the reply
you had opened that had the evil wrapping, and hit reply once again,
it'll remember the toggled off status and won't wrap the text it's
quoting.

I do that often enough to know it works. The trouble is, then you have
to manually wrap your entire reply. You can't turn on wrap, because
it'll then wrap existing content including the original quote, and that
is what you were trying to avoid. =8^)

So it should work fine, no code alterations needed, as long as you keep
the wrap text function in the composer toggled off.

It's subversion. The repository is available (it's on GNOME's) and in
fact it's the svn HEAD that I build (I'm running Gentoo, so using a
custom live-ebuild), altho it hasn't in several months (Charles'
development pattern is fits and starts, he's been in the fits phase now,
not doing much visible on SVN at least, for several months). The SVN URL
is:

http://svn.gnome.org/svn/pan2/trunk

However, most of the changes in HEAD since 0.132 are GNOME i18n folks
updating their translations. IIRC there's a minor code tweak or two, but
that's it, so right now, developing against 0.132 should be pretty much
fine.

However, the reference there was to the accels.txt file pan dumps in its
config dir. One can change it, thereby changing the hotkeys pan uses.
Of course, you had been talking about the compose window and the hotkey I
mentioned is for the body pane display, so it's not of use in context,
but you may still find it useful, rather than editing the source.
