Hello there this is my first post to the list so take it easy :P.

I was wondering if there is any support for gnome's notification area ?

It would be nice to have a small icon showing unreaded posts, or maybe something else.

I realize that the notification area is a freedesktop standard and it's available not only in gnome.

If not, I'm willing to create one.
