Actually, I wasn't trying to be tongue-in-cheek about that. I was serious. See below:

address@hidden bropers $ cd /tmp/pan-0.14.2
address@hidden pan-0.14.2 $ grep --recursive -i psychotic *
ANNOUNCE.html:
Pan 0.14.1 - This is not a psychotic episode. It's a cleansing moment of clarity.
ANNOUNCE.html:0.14.2 - "This is not a psychotic episode. It's a cleansing moment of clarity."
config.h:#define VERSION_TITLE "This is not a psychotic episode. It's a cleansing moment of clarity." config.log:| #define VERSION_TITLE "This is not a psychotic episode. It's a cleansing moment of clarity." config.log:| #define VERSION_TITLE "This is not a psychotic episode. It's a cleansing moment of clarity." config.log:| #define VERSION_TITLE "This is not a psychotic episode. It's a cleansing moment of clarity." config.log:#define VERSION_TITLE "This is not a psychotic episode. It's a cleansing moment of clarity." config.status:${ac_dA}VERSION_TITLE${ac_dB}VERSION_TITLE${ac_dC}"This is not a psychotic episode. It's a cleansing moment of clarity."${ac_dD} config.status:${ac_uA}VERSION_TITLE${ac_uB}VERSION_TITLE${ac_uC}"This is not a psychotic episode. It's a cleansing moment of clarity."${ac_uD} configure:#define VERSION_TITLE "This is not a psychotic episode. It's a cleansing moment of clarity." configure.in:AC_DEFINE(VERSION_TITLE,["This is not a psychotic episode. It's a cleansing moment of clarity."],[Release Title])

Change the #define VERSION_TITLE in config.h and recompile (./configure ; make all ; make install)

yes, sure ;)

I haven't looked, but there may be a configuration option for it; take a look at your ~/.pan/config.xml file.

no, I had a look : that's not the place where we can change it :(
