apt will run on SuSE, I'm told; but I've never tried it.
looks like you found some other utility (built into the SuSE distro?) which
will do roughly the same thing.

SuSE Enterprise Edition (or whatever they call it) seems to use Ximian's Red
Carpet tool; since Novell bought both companies.
