This is a good idea.

I know everyone is really busy, but in the big
picture, the project would make progress faster if new
coders had tools to get them up to speed faster. It
will also help to prevent mistakes, or inefficient
code...

maybe there's a tool on freshmeat for db design that
would make this a quicker job.
