People have until close of business Friday, Boston time to get their
assignments to the FSF, so I have asked for a list based on that time
line. Just go ahead and nominate someone, and if they are eligible they
will be included in the list of cantidates.

Ok this might help clarify the situation, I will list nicks and names of
who has nominated and a one sentence blurb on what they do (listed
alphabetically by surnane)

Alex Borges aka lex
Alex is CIO at Step One Group, he has worked on email and also
coordinated the new contacts classes development.

Guillaume Courtois aka gugux (note I am nominating you now)
Guillaume has been coordinating the translation effort for the project
for some time now, and also translating everything to French.

Dave Hall aka skwashd (I am nominating him now)
Dave just hangs around, not really sure what he does ;)

Kai Hoffman no nick *
Kai has been analysing and documenting the db schema and class design of
phpGW for sometime as part of his role as a dev at Pro Business.

Brian Johnson aka bjohnson * (I am nominating him now also)
Brian has been working on timetrack, migration scripts for the new
contacts backend, and helping with documentation

David Kelly - aka Sv0rd *
David is CEO of Zeald and has facilitated work on the vfs and a new XSLT
filemanager

Chris Weiss aka ||cw
Chris has been a long term member of the phpGW team, he is one of the
first to jump in and provide support

The eligibility of those who have an asterisk (*) after their nick,
still needs to be disussed. This is discussion which should be held in
public - politely and rationally on the developer list.

Also those who have been nominated, must accept the nomination. We are
not forcing those who have been nominated to run.

If an election is required voting will take place between 9 and
15-Sept-2003 0000UTC. Please refer to my post about the future of the
project ... Subject: "What does this mean for phpGroupWare?" ... for how
the election will be conducted.

I hope this clarifies things for people. I know this all seems a little
disorganised, but I don't think any of us have been involved in setting
up democratic structures in a Free Software project before - if you have
speak up now - I want to pick your brain :) My gut feeling is that we
are moving in the right direction.

Cheers

Dave
