if you set your imap server to use ldap, then set phpgw to use ldap, you're set.
Out side of that, there is an experimental vmailmgr (i think..it's vsomething)
interface for phpgw floating around, maybe in head cvs.

(with standard bare load), Apache, PHP w/imap, IMAP, Qmail. I don't mind
getting my hands dirty in the system just would like to make sure it is
possible without alot of special coding. Please reply to this email also
