[Phpgroupware-users] cvs update - detail question

Hi folks,

I am quite new to cvs, so please allow me a newbie-question. I have read several
command strings for doing a cvs update for phpgroupware, they are all similar to

cvs -z6 update -dP

but they differ from -z3 to -z9. What does this parameter do and what do I have 
to
use for a complete update?
