Downgraded from php 5.2 on my mandriva laptop to php 4.4.6
And everything is fine.

I will gladly reupgrade later if it can help resolve this issue with php5.

For now i have to figure out how to downgrade php on the RHEL5 Server.

Thanks for the help. Let me know if someone wants me to reproduce the incidents 
later.
