[Protux-devel] about Mustache ( more details )

This is show you all some plans for mustache :


- A MIDI sequencer, as good as Cakewalk, but with mustux concepts
- A score editor, as good as Finale, but with mustux concepts
- A interactive Midi based sequencer, intended for live performance . This is 
kind of a inteliggent sequencer that responds
to some events to start some midi sequences. these events can be audio (by 
pitch recognition), MIDI events, beat events
, and so on.. This way you can put some MIDI support on your gigs.
- A Song-with-chords editor, special for popular song musicians, which has to 
collect hundreds of songs in to a folder to be used
in a presentation in a bar. This editor will easy transpose the chords, and 
will keep track of chord-on-lyrics position.


The printing stuff will be done by using QT canvas classes, which offers a 
support to convert anything from a canvas into Postscript.

The MIDI files will be normally imported on mustache, but mustache will have a 
own file format, which supports all its features

so , as you can see, the idea of mustache is to be a complete Computer-music 
tool, not only a Midi sequencer.

My plan is to start on score editor/ midi sequencer. The main importance now is 
to put libmustux under the test of
another mustux application creation. Manu "needs" will appear that are already 
implemented on protux, which will be
a sign of what code should be part of libmustux and not protux. An example : 
the "Properties" handler. This is a protux
class, but I believe it should be part of libmustux, since mustahce will need a 
proeprties handler too.


I believe we should start another mail-listing specific for mustache.. so if 
anybody can take care of this, that would be great.
