Well we're getting somewhere.  The parameters for show_summary are clearly
rediculous.  But I don't know why you're only seeing the first few stack
frames.  Have you got some pager active or some .rc file to set gdb that way?
I'd normally expect to see all the stack frames right to main.c

It's going to be difficult for me to track down this problem as I can't 
reproduce it, and don't have a Solaris box these days.  It looks like the 
global variables dependent_vars and n_dependent_vars are getting corrupted 
somehow.
