I think we should avoid this at all costs, for example compile
ui/gtk.c with different set of flags or use
#pragma GCC diagnostic ignored "-Wstrict-prototypes"
#pragma GCC diagnostic error "-Wstrict-prototypes"
when the compiler supports them.
