I'm even sure I don't :-) I start another X-server with the new ratpoison to 
try everything out.
But there's a slight difference between squeak and VMware: with 
ratpoison-1.0.0, VMware does *not*
flicker, squeak does. With the cvs-1.78, they both flicker :-(
