some ideas.

I really like the 'fselect' feature. perhaps an analog 'wselect' could
be done where it pops up the window menu and you press a number to go to
that window. since some windows will already be onscreen (hence
selecting them will just change the current frame) it would make sense
to have the window numbers pop up on the frames as well (as is done for
fselect, but with window numbers not frame numbers).

Also, It would be nice if the window list showed whether a window was
currently onscreen somewhere. when one has several monitors and many
frames it is easy to lose track of windows.

what would also be nice would be the ability to unconditionally 'pull'
or 'throw' a window into or out of the current frame,
pull would work like 'wselect' but pull the window into the current
frame even if it is onscreen elsewhere. 'throw' would act like
'fselect' but throw the current window into the frame chosen. (not sure
whether focus should follow or not, I can see needs for both)

sometimes I feel that I am the only person using many monitors, but
what would be good for future development is getting rid of the
next_screen, prev_screen stuff and treating screens EXACTLY like
permament frames for most-all UI stuff. I think this would signifigantly
simplify the mental state needed to work with ratpoison as well as the
code since any new interactive frame improvements could be applied to
screens. obviously, there would be some quirks, since windows cannot be
pulled between screens (unless you use XINERAMA, but that breaks other
things) but those special cases can just be signaled as errors. I think
this is the right long-term strategy to take with reguards to
multi-monitor support.
