If you think about the ability of cycling through the input history
using Up/Down/C-p/C-n, then no, this feature is built into ratpoison.
The only change would be the removal of shortcuts such as !! (the latter
would get replaced by the previous history line).

I checked a few packages packages out there, Debian and OpenBSD don't
activate this support, Fedora does.
