I agree. We've been using rdiff-backup here for homedirs, mailspools and
webdirs for quite some time and it has repeatedly saved my butt and my
users. It means not having to go running over to tapes for something and
boy does it make restoration a dream. As an anecdote - one of my users
rm -rf'd the wrong dir in his homedir and freaked out. He called me, I
restored a copy from that morning's run of rdiff-backup in just over the
time it took him to remove them. He was extremely happy and brought me
some beer for it. :) It's nice when other's people's hard work brings
you rewards. :)
