I just compiled the net-tools package against uClibc. You can try the 
slattach binary here:
http://www.tuxfan.homeip.net:8080/rule/slinky/misc/

If it works, I can add it to the installer image. Please let me know.

I can also make the pppd binary available, but it also needs 2 additional 
small libraries from uClibc. I'll see what I can do with it tonight, I'm 
running late for work.
