[Savannah-hackers] savannah.gnu.org: submission of CryptNET GDCA

From: vab
Subject: [Savannah-hackers] savannah.gnu.org: submission of CryptNET GDCA
Date: Mon, 13 Aug 2001 13:15:37 -0700

A package was submitted to savannah.gnu.org.
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden

V. Alex Brennen <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: CryptNET GDCA
System name: gdca
This package wants to apply for inclusion in the GNU project

The basic idea is to clone the distributed.net distributed
computing client under the GPL. Code to attack the RSA
Labs RC5 Challenges has already been written. We hope to
add code to attack the Certicom ECC Challenges, RSA Prime
Factoring Challenge, and perhaps even distributed molecular
modeling for cancer drug research. The final and primary
goal of the project is to create and foster community shared
CPU power access for people.

As the distributed.net code is, the code for this project
will be exempt from BXA export regulations.

You can view the currnet RSA attack code at http://www.cryptnet.net/fcp/ and
more specifically
