ccRTP is an existing package for creating services based on the RTP (realtime
transport) protocol. This is used for transmission of voice and video data
over the internet (such as video conferencing and IP telephony), typically in
UDP encapsulated packets. ccRTP is a C++ class library for RTP that is built
from GNU Common C++ and supports both unicast and multicast streaming, as well
as RTCP and multi-source streaming. As such it can be the foundation for
building many kinds of advanced streaming services.
\"GNU\" ccRTP has been dubbed a GNU package as of today.
