Ok, thanks. I consider this closed, although:

1. is a bug, and should be fixed. It could easily state "No
archived messages yet" rather than "File not found"

2. I still don't understand the relationship between
"password reminders" and being able to post; Maybe some help
text on that page, or better description and defaults.

3. It appears to work

1. It is a mailman feature, the archives link is created
after the first post

2. It is due to an error in your list configuration. You did
choose yes for "Send password reminders to, eg, "-owner"
address instead of directly to user" (umbrella_list). You
must choose "no" here.

3. It is maybe related to 2. Please tell me if the fix I
suggested for "2" fixes this too.
