A package was submitted to savannah.gnu.org.
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden
Aidan Skinner <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: other
Other License: The license of the run-time units of the GNU Ada compiler.
It is similar to the guile licesnce. It\'s frequently called the \"GNAT
Modified General Public License\". Bascially it is the GPL with the following
text appended:
\"As a special exception, if other files instantiate generics from this
unit, or you link this unit with other files to produce an executable,
this unit does not by itself cause the resulting executable to be
covered by the GNU General Public License. This exception does not however
invalidate any other reasons why the executable file might be covered by the
GNU Public License.\"
This makes it behave similarly to the LGPL for the purpouses of linking.
Package: libra
System name: libra
This package does NOT want to apply for inclusion in the GNU project
Libra aims to provide a utility library for Ada \'95 containing useful data
structures (lists, trees etc) and networking abstractions
(NNTP, SMTP etc) as well as cryptographic algorithims.
It currently resides at http://www.velvet.net/~aidan/tech/libra.html.
