No they are not. They usually keep their original name and change
the long name to include GNU.

Thanks for your understanding. You'd be surprised to know the
amount of confusion generated by the use of GNU for software packages
that are not part of the GNU project. One striking example is www.gnupki.org
which generated immense troubles all over Europe. I'm exagerating a bit
but you can imagine the kind of confusing such a project generates when
it applies for European Commission fundings ;-)
