We may accept licenses not listed on the GNU pages if there
is a good reason. Could you please tell us why using a GNU
GPL compatible license is a problem for you ?

[I didn't get any email about the followups... :-(]

Please reconsider this decision. To quote
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/license-list.html#GPLIncompatibleLicenses:
"This license is an incomplete statement of the distribution
terms for LaTeX. As far as it goes, it is a free software
license, but incompatible with the GPL because it has many
requirements that are not in the GPL."

The LPPL is needed for this LaTeX package. "If you wish to
use another license that is not listed, let us know and we
will review these requests on a case-by-case basis."

Best regards
   Martin
