A package was submitted to savannah.gnu.org.
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden
fabio borraccetti <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: Multi Purpose scanner
System name: mpscan
This package wants to apply for inclusion in the GNU project
Description:
This is a very simply scanner coded in C language, it starts a MAXIP number of
child process (one for
each ip), it connects to the given ips readed from file then read the first
MAXCHAR characters
sent from the host and exits, if the host contacted doesn\'t send
anything but have the port open the child process dies after TIMEOUT.
Scan result is written in a file or on stdout.
My idea is to have a tool that maps a host (or more than one) and know what
service is really running
on the given port.
The scanner is very fast and have low band consumption,
Fast due to fork mechanism.
