Sure, the license allows you to do that. In that case, the license of your
whole project will be GPL, even though some pieces remain under the Modified
BSD license. Explain in some text file the various licenses for different
pieces of the package. You can register your project as a GPL-licensed project
and you do not have to fill out the other licenses field ("other licenses" in
the registration form means "a license for the whole project which is none of
the above"; it does not mean "other licenses used within the project")
