Commiting in `CVSROOT/' is (permanantly) disabled.  We'll be working on a a web
front-end to manage files under `CVSROOT/' (e.g. commitinfo, loginfo and
modules) in the coming weeks.

Also, our FAQ is a little out-of-date in this regard (I will fix this now).

Summary: Cannot commit files in CVSROOT

Original Submission:  Hi,

I tried to enable sending CVS messages to a mailing list as described in
<https://savannah.gnu.org/faq/?group_id=5802&question=Is_it_possible_to_receive_an_email_for_each_commit_on_the_CVS_Sources.txt>

However, when I tried to commit the files I got an error:

~/savannah/bibulus/CVSROOT> cvs ci commitinfo loginfo
Enter passphrase for key '/home/twid/.ssh/id_dsa':
Checking in commitinfo;
/cvsroot/bibulus/CVSROOT/commitinfo,v  <--  commitinfo
new revision: 1.2; previous revision: 1.1
cvs [server aborted]: could not open lock file
`/cvsroot/bibulus/CVSROOT/,commitinfo,': Permission denied
cvs commit: saving log message in /tmp/cvsjW9qtm

What did I do wrong?
