Chris Boertien <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: ModABot
System name: modbot
Type: non-GNU

Description:
This project aims to provide an abstraction to an IRC interface. The short-term
goal is more of a framework to build more complex components onto, allowing all
parts of the system to be plugged in depending on what is required by the
implementation. The main aim is a type of irc client known as a 'bot'. But
would easily be adaptable to a more complex GUI. Implementations are also
planned to allow end-users and developers to take advantage of the framework.
The project will by coded in python and uses the Twisted framework
(www.twistedmatrix.com) for the network API.

Other Software Required:
