What exactly are you seeking the status of?  The creation of new
mailing lists or having commit log emails send to mailing lists?

If the latter, that work has been finished and has been certified as
'working', though there is not yet a front-end to manage it, so will
set it up for anyone that asks.

If the former, again there is no (working) front-end to manage mailing
lists, but we can create them manually for you if you need them.
