There are two ways in which to view the source code. You can view 
individual files that are "live" or currently running in the game
by going to:
http://prowler.net.tufts.edu/tribe/textfiles/tribe/

Or, you can download a snapshot of the source code, but with the
caveat that this is not a most recent version (trying to keep the
tarballs about a week behind the current).

These are my workarounds, until I can get my source into CVS.

As I go through my source files and cleaning them up, I have been adding 
the GPL statement, so you will notice that while some do have it, others
do not. It's only me doing the development right now, so it's a slow
process.
