Common Pool Resources

I'm working with a subcommittee of the National Research Council's Committee
on Human Dimensions of Global Change that is planning a symposium on what has
been learned about the management of common property (or common pool)
resources.  Can anyone suggest published work or researchers who are looking
at this issue using agent based models and/ or are looking at emergent
properties and institutions?
