Even simple nucleotide substitution models like REV, require ENORMOUS
computational resources to infer an evolutionary history. And to do it on more
than 500 sequences is pretty much impossible without a supercomputer.
Substituting more complex models (e.g. with subpopulations having different
environmental conditions / selection pressures) makes these costs all the worse!
But it's still a cool idea. :-)
