Xmass at the Hive.....

The Swarm-hive is temporarily disolving as the various drones and
royalty of the hive turn their attention to the attack of the killer holiday
season....(except for those unlucky drones who have been enslav\\\\...
er...*entrusted*.... by royalty to have the next major increment in beta
release ready by the end of the year...instead of wasting perfectly good
time on family, friends, wassailing, and all that crap {which royalty is
*nobly* putting up with in the drone's best interests, I might add...})

So, in the spirit of the season.....

A little less coal there, Mr. Burkhart, if you please! and Mr. Minar will
have to make do with less "ink," this month, as the blood donations are
down this season. And as for you, Mr. Askenazi, now that it is snowing I'll
just have those boots back that I lent you this summer! but I'm quite
sure that you'll be overjoyed to hear that I saved those "worn-out"
sandals you tossed out at the time, as I suspected that you'd be needing
them again - waste not want not, that's my motto.

To the rest of you shirkers out there in Beta world, please feel free to send
in intros, comments, bugs, curses, etc. to the swarm-support list if you,
too, are working over the holidays because you have a boss like me
(unfortunately, I'm my own boss, which is the worst of all possible
worlds.....you can send your condolences any time.....)

After this diversion into the true spirit of the season, I'll be posting a
couple of overviews of how we got to where we are with Swarm, where we
expect to be in the immediate future (early January), and where we are
aiming to get to in the long run, with your help.....

Yours in livelier computation....

Chris ("Scrooge") Langton - (aka "The Grinch"....)
