Introduction

Hello Swarm Team,

my name is Luigi Marengo and I'm writing on behalf of the CEEL
(Computational and Experimental Economics Lab), which is part of the
Department of Economics of the University of Trento, Italy.
We have just been added to the swarm beta test list, and I would like to
post just a few words of introduction about who we are and what we are doing.

As the name says, CEEL is formed by a group of economists who are interested
in experimental observation and computer modelling of economic behaviour. We
especially deal with questions of multi-agent decision making processes
which require coordination and cooperation. We have carried out extensive
experimental work (partly jointly with the University of Michigan) and we
have already developed some simple computational models of both markets and
organizations where agents adaptively learn to coordinate their decisions
(by using Classifiers Systems, Genetic Algorithms and Genetic Programming).

We hope therefore that SWARM will provide a more complete and sophisticated
platform for simulating markets and organizations.
