If you want to make a presentation of your work, please give a
title and brief description here (depending on number of
presentations, these will probably run from 15-30 minutes). Also, if
you have any specific topics you'd like to see discussed at the Swarm
Fest, please include them here as well. We will be posting and
updating a list of presentations/demos/discussions on the SwarmFest
web-page as they materialize.

Presentation/Demo/Discussion description_________________________

Whether or not you are thinking of making a presentation, it would
be *very* helpful if you could put something up on the web about your
area of research and how you are (thinking about?) applying
Swarm. This will let other people become more informed about you and
your work before coming to the SwarmFest.

Relevant Web Links:_____________________________________________

We will probably have to charge a registration fee to help cover
the cost of the meeting. We don't have the specific amount yet, but we
hope to keep it well under $100/person. This will help pay for lunches
and coffee-break supplies.

We will be providing computational and A/V resources for talks and
demonstrations. We will have a large-screen TV or a
video-projector. Please let us know what you will need to make your
presentation or demonstration.

                SwarmFest travel and lodging info

A block of rooms has been reserved for the group at the Homewood
Suites, 400 Griffin Street, Santa Fe, NM. The phone number there is
988-3000 or 1-800-225-5466. Room rates are $85 for singles or
doubles; please arrange shared reservations (one bed, one fold-out
couch) between yourselves. Please call the hotel directly to make
reservations; reference the SFI Swarm Users Group.

The hotel serves continental breakfast daily and has a van which
can drive you to the Institute.

We expect that you will handle your own air and surface travel
arrangements. Information about getting to Santa Fe follows.

The major airport connection to Santa Fe is Albuquerque, New
Mexico; approximately 60 miles from Santa Fe. Most large airlines fly
into Albuquerque. There is also a small airport in Santa Fe which is
serviced by Mesa Airlines (10-seat planes) from both Albuquerque and
Denver; for information call 1-800-637-2247.

You can reach downtown Santa Fe from the Albuquerque airport using
a bus service called Shuttlejack which runs approximately every two
hours. The cost is $20 each way and reservations are required; call
(505) 982-4311 for reservations and information. The Shuttle stops at
the Homewood Suites.

Car rental is available at the Albuquerque and Santa Fe airports
and in downtown Santa Fe. We have good corporate rates with Budget
which include free insurance coverage. For reservations please call
1-800-527-0700, identify yourself as an SFI workshop participant, and
refer to corporate account number T47550. If your credit card or
personal auto insurance insurance does not cover rental cars, we
recommend that you accept LDW and SLI at the counter.

Santa Fe is a wonderful, small city with excellent cultural
opportunities, outdoor activities, and restaurants. We are at an
altitude of 7,000 feet. In mid-February, temperatures range from 0 to
40 degrees. Snow is likely.

    =============================================================

Please return the filled out registration form to our SwarmFest
email address here at SFI: address@hidden Please do NOT send
your registration to the swarm-support email list. Also, for info
about or suggestions for the SwarmFest, send email to:
address@hidden

Attendance is limited to 35 people for logistical reasons. So,
please get your registrations in early. This is a User's meeting and
is intended to be a forum for discussing Swarm and the models
implemented in Swarm at high levels of technical detail. Hence, we
would like to encourage the attendance of as many entrenched Swarm
users as possible.

Due to our rather tight budget, we will have to charge a
registration fee of $60 to help cover the cost of the workshop. The
fee can be paid at the workshop itself.
