Swram-1.1 ; boolNet and SSS problems

Hi,
I've just installed Swarm-1.1 on RH4.2 (intel); 
In the end it was easier to get the tclobjc, the libffi and the 
BLT2.3 libraries and build it all locally (i.e archive install)!!
All the apps in swarm-apps 1.1 compile and work; great
However
I've downloaded 
sss.tar.gz
BoolLib-0.3
boolNet-0.3
GraphLib-0.3

I had to amend some #import statements in the library files.

I've hacked boolNet and it seems to work....but it seems to be
that some programs expect GUIswarm to be in the simtools directory,
now need to include random.h etc etc
I also had to change some code, which involved waitForControlEvent
(I copied a line from the heatbugs demo)

I can't get sss to build however.

Is there a FAQ for porting apps to Swarm-1.1? My method is entirely
adhoc ......
