I saw this announcement and wondered if anyone had considered using
it to record a swarm session?? The site is

http://www.alphalink.com.au/~mvertes/xlab.html

Of course, there is always a chance it might not work :)

Xlab project

A free recorder replayer for X-Windows distributed graphic system

Peterson (xscope).

on X.

client.. can be located anywhere
non intrusive, can automate any X-windows application (no recompilation
needed)
recorded file in ASCII format -> human readable/editable.
can be used as an X protocol analyser (xscope)
     tested in bi-screen configuration
replay speed at user convenience (not tested)
in conjonction with an emulator (wine, wabi, sunsoft, executor, ...) can
record and replay for other platforms (mac, MS Windows). Not yet tested.
     small program :-)
