Interpolation

I am currently working on a research project simulating an ecological
model, and have worked with another package called Extend. We are
comparing and contrasting the pro's and con's of 3 different packages.
Today I was looking for a built in library that interpolates a set of
data and you can use it to generate output based on the interpolated
function and the specified input. I was wondering if this is something
that I missed in your documentation or something that you are working on
or if nothing else if you could give me some hints on ways to write it
myself.  I would appreciate any feedback. George Dickinson
