Warning: swarm window position archiver and 1.3

Maybe it says this in the doc for swarm 1.3
(or maybe 1.1 or 1.2) and I just missed it,
but just in case its not there or you missed the change as I did....

The window position archiver has changed the format
of how it writes things to ~/.swarmArchiver file
soemtime between 1.0.5 and 1.3. (I think in 1.3, see below).

The result is that if you run something made with
a later (eg 1.3) version of swarm, and save window positions,
when you then go to run any application made with
an earlier version of the archiver, it crashes in initSwarm(),
in the archiver somewhere.
Needless to say, its rather disconcerting to have an
old, unchanged executable crash!!

I see in the Release Notes for 1.3 that
**** Independent archiving of size and position window geometry.
but it isn't mentioned in the Porting Notes, as far as I can see.

Is there any way to tell a swarm app which .swarmArchiver
file to use?

ps Are release notes for previous versions of swarm
online still at the swarm site? (I couldn't find them.)
