Query on 1.3 under Win95

Hi!

I'm sure you're swamped with questions after the recent release of Swarm
1.3, but I'll add mine to the mix. After wrestling unsuccessfully trying
to get 1.1 to run under Win95, I was delighted to see the simplified
preconfigured version in 1.3. But I can't get the demo apps to build. My
setup is:

Cygnus in C:\Cygnus\B19
Swarm 1.3 in D:\Programs\Languages\Swarm\Swarm_1.3
Swarmapps 1.3 in D:\Programs\Languages\Swarm\Swarmapps_1.3

If I put myself in any of the Swarm app directories (e.g.,
hello-world\v01) and utter "make", I get

Makefile:10: Extraneous text after `ifeq' directive
Makefile:25: *** missing `endif'.  Stop.

This happens whether I utter "make" from a dos window or from a bash
window under dos. Both environments think that SWARMHOME =
/Programs/Languages/Swarm/Swarm_1.3/packages/swarm (result of 'echo
%SWARMHOME%' in DOS, or 'echo $SWARMHOME' in bash). The relevant portion
of the makefile is

ifeq ($(SWARMHOME),)
SWARMHOME=../../../Swarm_1.3/packages/swarm
Endif

Have I missed something obvious?
